About Pukka Up

INTRODUCTION

Pukka Up is 'All About the Party'. We want you to leave our nights with a long lasting memory and experience. We want to challenge the art of clubbing, bring back crowd interaction and create a real party atmosphere for each individual crowd at each separate event. With a roster of international residents and headline, chart topping acts we can't wait to see you at one of our events very soon.

THE STORY SO FAR...

The party began life in 2003, by throwing what became 'infamous' boat parties along London's main artery; The Thames. After a short but influential residency at Turnmills the brand exploded onto countless other dance floors, including internationally renowned venues, such as Pacha and The Cross.

After the success of '03, Ibiza seemed the natural progression; hosting a series of original Sunset Boat Parties placing Pukka Up firmly on the international clubbing map. Awards quickly followed winning the coveted Mixmag award 'most mentalist party'; a prize which paved the way to their initial residency in the Coco Loco room at Privilege in the summer of 2004 hosted by the Pukka Up Bunny Girls.

2005 was a pinnacle year for Pukka Up in Ibiza, gaining it's residency at Es Paradis and launching its 'Nautical Voyage' theme building a credible reputation on the Island, leading on to a successful themed tour of the UK.

In 2006 PU decided to take the brand forward with a more mature, sophisticated and stylish image, to suit the changing climate of the clubbing industry. Born was a succession of new elements to the brand including amazing sensuous new artwork, sumptuous décor and abstract entertainers all helping 'Putting the Art back in to House Music'. This alongside an upfront house music policy and a solid dedicated DJ resident team, Pukka Up had cleverly stepped up to a new level.

MOVING FORWARD...

Once again in 2007 the brand continued to excel at the forefront of clubbing which was quickly noted by mass media brand MTV who instantly signed up to host a joint tour across the UK, Ireland, Miami and Ibiza, broadcasting the parties to millions of viewers on their MTV Dance Galaxy Chart. The show ultimately had an impact on the Pukka Up Global Tour and saw the Ibiza residency at Es Paradis road blocked every Monday night with queues not seen since the legendary 'Clockwork Orange' events.

Their 5th birthday in April at the infamous Pacha London was certainly a night to remember with the launch of the hugely popular 'Manifesto' theme grew from strength to strength throughout 2008 introducing us all to the now infamous PUDC (Pukka Up Dirty Cops). Drawing huge media interest, these refreshing party orientated events have spread the brand throughout the UK culminating in Living TV approaching PU to film a 'docusoap' on their unique promotion team and parties during their Summer Season '08 (See Pukka Up TV for clips!).

Broadcast on Living over nine episodes which started in August '08, covering the trials and tribulations of the summer season in Ibiza, the show was hugely popular and the publicity saw interest in their events sky rocket.

On top of this massive national exposure they received phenomenal industry wide praise for 2008 with reviews conducted by M8, DJ and Mixmag commenting on their 'glamorous crowd', 'party orientated events' and going as far to say they are 'the best night at Es Paradis' and 'San Antonio's biggest House Night' (also picking up best PR team in the Ibiza Annual Workers Awards) which are accolades that any promotion team would be rightly proud of.

THE FUTURE...

The Pukka Up tour is now globally bigger than ever with a series of international residencies including Poland, Delhi, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuala Lumpa, Bangkok, Phuket, Oslo, Miami, Brazil, Sydney and Bangkok to name a few.

Closer to home, the UK and Ireland tour is constantly expanding with the hottest venues on the clubbing map signing up for Pukka Up events, which will see the brand in every major city by the end of the year. As well as the continuous worldwide tour, Pukka Up also added Gatecrasher Summer Sound System to their portfolio of festivals which includes Planet Love, ZOO8, Wildchild, Indochine- Singapore and Miami Winter Music Festival at Nikki Beach.

And so, 2009 has seen them launch their brand new theme based on the Dirty Cops and looking forward to their most successful season to date in Ibiza. They have a brand new album mixed by the Utah Saints due for release in June '09 which is sure to go down a storm and their Centenary boat party to celebrate this Summer!

In brief Pukka Up are bringing an exciting element to the clubbing industry with constant innovation, setting the brand apart and way above the rest. As always they continue to thrive at the forefront of events with house music and are still as passionate as ever about delivering the truest and most party orientated events in the industry!
