Event Promoter (Summer Position)

Pukka Up plays host to over 1000 customers per week with up to 5 boats setting sail every Tuesday and Saturday, combined with the ultimate after parties and the islands hottest pool parties, you will be joining the business as part of our overseas event promotions team. Your role will be to actively promote the Pukka Up event program to members of the public, utilizing your outstanding personalities, sales techniques and rapport building skills. The Job
Pukka Up plays host to over 1000 customers per week with up to 5 boats setting sail every Tuesday and Saturday, combined with the ultimate after parties and the islands hottest pool parties, you will be joining the business as part of our overseas event promotions team. Driving and highlighting the value and experience included within the Pukka Up packages, you will have a varied role combining a mixture of sales and event based activities. What we are looking for
We want people with a passion for our brand, self-motivated and tenacious with a positive can do attitude. You will be a real people’s person with the ability to create relationships quickly, complete with outstanding sales skills and creativity to ensure your chosen method of event promotion creates stand out and converts potential customers to our events.

The job requires a mixture of team working and the ability to go at it alone where appropriate, therefore you should be flexible to adapt to a fast paced, constantly changing environment and be able to embrace any change in circumstance as it arises.

Essential Information

  • All applicants must be 18 or over before June 1st 2016
  • Interviews will be held over skype, you will be contacted via email with a date and time should you be successful
  • You will need to be available for training in resort from June 1st 2016, although this can be negotiated should it be deemed appropriate.
  • Flights and accommodation are not covered by the company and you are responsible for arranging this, however we can provide advice to applicants on successful appointment to the company
  • It is advantageous to have a background in sales and event promotion preferably in an overseas environment but this is not essential
  • All members of staff must have a valid NIE and be able to work in Spain before their first day of work. Successful applicants will be provided with advice on how to obtain this before arriving in resort if needed.

Marketing Assistant & Office Administrator (Paid Internship)

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of all departmental activities
  • Support marketing executives in organizing various projects
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires.
  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
  • Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
  • Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts (including Live aspects)
  • Write marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
  • Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships
  • Provide administrative support to the company directors, including, scheduling meetings, arranging logistics and maintaining diaries.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Experience in marketing software and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google Adwords etc.) beneficial
  • Exquisite communication and people skills
  • High School diploma; BSc in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage (Or Studying)

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute design concepts in both print and digital environments
  • Identify project scope and budget constraints
  • Develop designs which are commercially driven, customer focused and on brand across all our brand touch points
  • Create weekly email marketing campaigns and website editorial
  • Produce brand assets for the Pukka Up website and its social channels
  • Create a syndicate of brand assets for wholesale and affiliate partners (Design, Photography, Videography etc.)
  • Ensure that image quality is at a maximum on all pages designed, as well as ensuring all fonts and type are readable on a range of web design requirements
  • Constantly research and present ideas from competitor analysis

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Experience in graphic design, style guides, corporate branding and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in video editing and animation software – pluses but not mandatory
  • Experience in HTML and CSS a plus
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, stock photography research
  • Must be detail oriented, time-sensitive, highly focused, able to set priorities and work in a team environment
  • Must provide portfolio website or individual samples of recent work
  • Ability to work on multiple, time-sensitive assignments
  • Able to receive and respond positively to direction, instructions and creative recommendations

Finance Manager (Fixed Term Contract)

We seek an experienced Finance Manager to join our team and provide financial expertise, reporting and recommendations that enable effective decision-making and success within the business. The suitable candidate will have the ability to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

  • month and end-season process
  • accounts payable/receivable
  • cash receipts
  • general ledger
  • payroll and utilities
  • treasury, budgeting
  • cash forecasting
  • revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • capital assets reconciliations
  • trust account statement reconciliations
  • check runs
  • debt activity
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce weekly financial reports, statements or snapshots.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Provide recommendations
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting
  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager or Finance Manager
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Innovative thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and gain the cooperation of individuals across the organization
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Must be willing and able to work in Ibiza.
